Had six children by first wife, of whom four died in a Diptheria epidemic; Anna, Harriet, Christiana, Eleanor, Wolston, and Richard. Harriet and Christiana were the two who survived however it is not known if they left descendants. Dr Beaumont Dixie m2. 24 Nov. 1868 Toronto, ONT, CAN, Elizabeth Blakely and had one daughter, Sarah, who never married. There is some suggestion that Dr Beaumont Dixie had another daughter, Mary Amelia Dixie, b. 14 Jun. 1856, d. 7 Dec. 1941 who married James Henry Sprowl, b. 1850, d. 26 Dec. 1905, and who left descendants however the mother of this daughter is not known, she may be illegitimate or she may be the daughter of Dr. Beaumont Dixie's brother, Wolstan Alexander Dixie.
